Pearls & Irritations irritates over CBA bank fees

Headlines with "Albo makes Dutton look electable" https://hypalnk.com/6dhre and what trollop followed about Labor not making enough noise about the CBA bank fees...
Pearls and Irritations argues against itself https://hypalnk.com/u0tmg: Labor did act, and did make noise—it just wasn’t widely reported. And who’s to blame for that lack of coverage? Oh, right, the media.
Noel Turnbull, in his piece, seems to be pointing fingers at Labor for not “amplifying” their response. Yet, hilariously, he misses the glaring irony that he could have amplified Jim Chalmers' actions himself via Pearls and Irritations! Instead, he inexplicably argues for the media’s role in muting the story—failing to call out their selective reporting while critiquing Labor for something entirely beyond their control.
Here’s a thought, Noel: next time you write a scathing takedown, maybe aim it at the culprits—the MSM—not the ones actually addressing the issue. Labor condemned the CBA’s cash withdrawal fee as “unacceptable,” communicated directly with its CEO, and pushed for a resolution. If the media chose not to plaster it across the front pages, that's on them—not on Labor.
So, while Noel clutches his pearls about Labor’s supposed silence, the real irritation here is the missed opportunity to hold the MSM accountable for doing what it does best: burying the story and then blaming the government for its own editorial choices. Talk about a self-own.
FFS Pearls, lift your game.
